Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone!!! We have successfully packed up the Christmas decorations and sent our tree off for “recycling.” It seems like every year Christmas is more and more work and the season goes by so quickly. I’m always sad to see it end and always super sad to say good-bye to my pretty Christmas trees. This year, our tree lasted for about 6 weeks — and it was even pre-cut. We think the miracle worker was HOT water for the tree instead of cold. We read that the hot water loosens the sap and allows the tree to drink more. It seriously worked! No bleach, no soda, no sugar — none of that. Just plain ole hot water. Weird!
In other news, it was nice to have a brief vacation. We’ve been back up and running for the past few days and trying diligently to get caught up on emails and return phone calls.
I’ve also been doing some re-arranging and “Spring Cleaning” at home — trying to get geared up for a new season of weddings and portrait sessions. To that end, I’m selling some furniture and other items. A lot of people would ask about where I got my furniture in my studio, so I thought I’d let you know that my loveseats are for sale. They are a champagne microfiber and are practically brand new! We’ve been storing them since I moved the studio into my home, so they haven’t been used this entire time. They were also replacements for my first sofa and loveseat (which are now in my living room), so they’ve seen very, very little use.
I’m asking $250 each ($500), but I am willing to split them up. They are perfect for a small space, a loft, a studio, or even an office waiting room. They’ve never had any stains, but I have other furniture in microfiber and a little water on a rag gets EVERYTHING out. Super easy to take care of. Let me know if you are interested. They are on craigslist right now.
Oh, and I have 4 matching pillows to go with them.
