The Official “I Love Heidi” Post!
Many of you have met Heidi . . . if you were recently married, then Heidi was probably there taking pictures alongside me. Isn’t she fabulous???!!! Well, things in my world have just gotten *much* better! Heidi has graciously agreed to start assisting me in the office! Yay! She started today and she got 4 projects completed for me in about 1/10th the time it would have taken me to do it since the twins are “at home” kids. Sweet! At the end of her “shift” today, I introduced her to the album design software and she is excited to get started on that. I am so lucky and blessed to have her as a friend and as an assistant.
Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!

The Littlest Bride
Usually on Sundays after a wedding, I sit on the couch and do nothing but rub lotion on my tired and aching feet. It’s my one day to relax and unwind. However, a couple of Sundays ago, I had to break my camera out again because apparently there was a little impromptu wedding at my house. Thankfully there was no groom (yet anyways) . . . hahaha . . . but there was a little bride nonetheless. And she LOVES to play dress-up.

A couple of days after that, I picked her up from school and she told me that when she was 21, she was going to drive herself home from school. So I told her that she could drive when she was 16.
Jokingly, I also told her that when she was 35, she could get married.
Devyn: “OH NO! I am never getting married.”
Me: “You’re not? How come? Getting married is a good thing. Mommy’s married.”
Devyn: “No you’re not.”
Me: “Yes I am. I’m married to Daddy. A long time ago, Mommy was a bride.”
Devyn: “[BIG HUGE HUFFY SIGH . . . .] UGH! I am sooooooooooooo sick of all this bride stuff!!!!!!!!”
OMG! I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time! It must be strange for a child to have a mom in the wedding industry, because really our lives can be pretty consumed with bride stuff. Usually Devyn loves it and she always asks to see pictures of brides and asks what the brides name is and stuff like that. But not on that day. Too funny!
Enjoy!

Another First . . .
I feel like we’re having all sorts of firsts around here. This one’s for Tyler . . . she sat up on her own today for a LONG time. WOW!!!! She prefers to stand (with help, of course), but she sure seemed proud of herself to be sitting all alone! I have a million pictures of this one . .. but this sweet one stood out. Daddy is going to be so surprised!

Rice Cereal - Blech!
Since the babies are 6 months old now, their pediatrician gave them the go-ahead to start some solid foods. And by solid, she means runny drippy warm rice cereal! Devyn gave the EXACT same expressions when she tried rice cereal for the first time.
I put them in their way-too-adorable high chairs for the first time (I just love this new turquoise retro print . . . I even got retro looking bibs, but in pink). They actually opened their mouths like little birds, like they were expecting food, but I know it was purely coincidence. It was kind of funny, though!

Tyler, Miss “A” for “Baby A” was up first. I have a feeling Tyler will be first for a lot of things since she was born first. I’m sure Jordyn will get sick of that REAL quick!

YUCK! WHY are you doing this to me????

I think Jordyn REALLY thought she was going to like it. She must not have been paying attention to Tyler’s reaction!

Ewww! That’s disgusting!

I’m happy now that I got all of that yucky stuff out of my mouth!

So, I stopped feeding them after one or two bites (none of which ended up in their tummies, by the way), and they were much happier.

Devyn even got to feed Jordyn one bite and my husband got the whole process on video. Is there ANY kid out there that truly enjoyed their first bite of “solid” food? Maybe when we get to the sweet potatoes and squash. Then they’ll turn nice and orange like Devyn did! Cute!
