Dear Clients, Friends, and Family . . .

Being a photographer, I inevitably get those questions about what kind of camera to buy for Christmas or birthdays . . . and every once in awhile someone asks if I’ve ever ordered from such and such company on the internet.  What most people try to do, naturally, is to find the lowest price possible on the internet and order the camera.  What people don’t know is that MOST of these internet camera companies with “too good to be true” deals are fly-by-night operations in seedy parts of town that shut down at a moment’s notice.  If you order from one of these online companies because their prices are super low and their website looks fancy and nice, you will PROBABLY NEVER SEE YOUR CAMERA GEAR OR YOUR MONEY AGAIN!

Before buying a camera from an online camera store, please visit www.resellerratings.com and see what other people have to say about their shopping experience.  I recently looked up two camera companies and the feedback was atrocious!

Basically, you place your order on the internet and then someone calls you and tells you that there is a problem with your order.  Then they try to upsell you with massively overpriced accessories for your camera and when you decline, your camera never ships.  When you call to check on your camera’s shipping date, they tell you that it’s out of stock.  And now these scammers have your credit card number on top of it all!

THIS IS WHY I ONLY SHOP FROM TWO CAMERA STORES!!!  Keep in mind that many consumer cameras can be purchased from Costco and Best Buy and the like, and those are perfectly acceptable places to buy cameras.  But if you’re looking for something specific, I highly recommend George’s Camera in San Diego (http://www.georgescamera.com/).  It can be a bit intimidating in there if you are just starting out with photography . . . so if you want to purchase over the internet, I ONLY use B&H Photo Video — the ONLY reputable camera store in New York as far as I am concerned and as far as MANY other photographers are concerned.  www.bhphotovideo.com.

Please don’t shop anywhere else.  You may think you are getting a better deal, but you’ll be left with quite a mess and quite a headache afterwards, with NO camera to show for it.

In the bad news . . . some of you may have heard that after being treated for preterm labor last week, I had to go back to the hospital because I was in a car accident!  My daughter was in the car with me and she was such a little trooper.  Long story short, we are doing fine.  The babies were monitored at the hospital and they seem to be doing well and Devyn is totally fine (that’s the good news).

In other good news . . . we have new pictures of the twins! 

In this picture, you can see how close together their heads are.  I don’t know if they face each other not, but they sure like to lay head to head! (The white lines are the outlines of their heads).
 

In this picture, some might say that Jordyn is giving us the peace sign . . . but someone mentioned that she is telling us “2 more weeks.”  I guess I’ll just have to wait and see!

Here you can see Tyler’s profile.  The object right in front of her mouth is her left arm coming across her face so she looks like she is sucking on her forearm.  Next to that on the left is her little leg stretched out above her head.  The “Baby A” writing is going right over her toes.

Here is another look at Tyler with her arm and her foot.  I don’t think there’s any getting around the fact that she is probably going to look exactly like her father.  I can already tell that she is going to have big sister’s (and mom’s) temperament.

Here is a face shot of Jordyn with a little sweet smile on her face.  I think she’s going to look like her daddy, too . . . but perhaps she’s going to have mommy’s fuller lips???  I think she might have daddy’s temperament, too . . . which would be a nice change of pace . . . but time will tell!

And here’s another one of Jordyn.  See . . . she’s already yawning in deep content relaxation.  She must have daddy’s personality!  hahaha!

 Okay . . . so car accident behind us . . .we’re turning over a new leaf and only doing positive things from here on out!!!!  And looking at these amazing photos sure is a step in the right direction.  Isn’t it amazing what sort of technological advancements they have made to make these pictures even possible?!?!  If you are pregnant or are hoping to be pregnant in the future . . .
