She loves to dress up . . . especially in frilly Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella princess dresses. But watch out. She’ll bite your face off if you try to take her picture! My little model has finally grown tired of the camera. Mommy-the-photographer is soooo sad.

My dad is the ultimate Mr. Handyman guy . . . there’s nothing he can’t fix or build. So, of course, it’s perfectly fitting that he built a playhouse for Devyn this Christmas. The cool thing is, he built one for me and my sister when we were little girls . . . . so this totally brought back good memories of our playhouse. Here are some pictures of my dad building it, and pictures of Devyn getting to see it on Christmas Eve.

The house even has carpet and a front porch. Since these pics were taken, my dad has put a white pebble roof on it . . . and it’s getting drywalled next week (after the rain we’re supposed to be getting). Inside, Nana and Papa got Devyn a light blue leather couch, pink and blue Disney Princess table and chairs, and a Cinderella rug. The kitchen is from Aunt Peggy . . . and she’ll soon be getting porch furniture from Grammy. Grammy even added flower pots to the front. No . . . .she’s not spoiled at all!

Oh, I should add that my dad is hooking up a doorbell, and there’s already electricity for her porch light and indoor lighting. How cool is that??!!??!!??!!

The funniest part about the whole thing is that she invites EVERYONE in to the playhouse. But after awhile, she says, “Let’s go,” and she gets everyone out. Then when everyone is out but her, she says “BYE!” and literally slams the door! She’s not a very gracious hostess yet. I think we need to work on her manners.

You know you’ve had a good Christmas when your feet don’t hit the ground and your fingers are automatically doing the ballerina thing as you skip about!

I haven’t even begun to sift through the Christmas pics yet, but this one stood out to me. Devyn had a truly magical Christmas!

I am very happy to report that an image from Mary and Sandy’s wedding has been selected for the cover of the San Diego Wedding Association Show Booklet. Joelle and Phillip had a small, intimate gathering in Laguna Beach, which made for an elegant and romantic day.

Joelle and Phillip are so adorable together. They are also two of the nicest people you could ever meet.

The bouquet was handmade by the bride’s brother, with intricate and delicate paper roses.
