We’re Baaaaack! Thanksgiving in Missouri
Alas we have returned from Missouri after a long week of chasing Devyn, seeing the sites, and eating too many treats from Sonic. Here is my pictorial review taken with my itty-bitty Canon A95 (I left the big guns at home for a REAL vacation).
Devyn’s first airplane ride: American Airlines from San Diego to Dallas. She was a pretty good girl. I had loaded up her carry-on bag (Dora, of course), with treats and activities. She still managed to kick the seat of the person in front of her (something we had not thought about) and proceeded to scream every time we told her to stop. Thankfully, the lady in front of her was a grandma and didn’t really care - but the flight attendant flipped when she saw her doing it. Apparently, Ms. Flight Attendant hasn’t spent much time around 2-year-olds (insert picture of me rolling my eyes right here). Devyn did much better on the second leg of the trip when we painted with these No-Mess Crayola finger paints that only paint on certain paper. I HIGHLY recommend those things if you are ever planning on traveling with children (thank you, Stefani!).

The Dora carry-on in St. Louis.

The three cousins, Devyn, Megan, and Molly. Devyn is so enamoured with her older cousins. She asks for them everyday and misses them sooo much!

Nana and Papa’s porch decorations. Apparently, she’s thrilled!

Megan, with the beautiful smile.

Molly, with the beautiful eyes.

Nana and Devyn near Nana and Papa’s property. It’s so cute when Devyn says “property.”

Devyn and Papa.

Us on Papa’s quadcycle, or ATV. They are called Arctic Cats in Missouri. They seem very different from California quads - I think it’s the difference between a quad made for snow and a quad made for the desert. It was fun to go riding on them. Devyn kept saying “faster!” We also went on go-carts - but those pictures are on Marni’s camera.

A Missouri sunset.

Me and my wild child.

Running through the fields. Notice the heavy jackets. It was FREEZING!

Daddy and Daddy’s Girl.

Devyn against a Missouri sky.

Water ballet in a year-round indoor water park in Branson.

Soup is GOOD.

Everyone should be a diva on Thanksgiving!

More of the girls!

A Missouri “urban” session. HAHAHA!

Playing with trains on Thanksgiving. I think we need to put a word in with Santa that trains are very hip this year. Dora and trains.

Ahhhhh . . . . the flight home. She actually slept!

Now, I’m back to the grind. I photographed Adrienne & David’s wedding with Heidi this past weekend and just finished editing another wedding today. I’m working on getting all of the Christmas orders out the door, too. Stay tuned for more news!
Oh, and I got home to a preview of my new website. I CANNOT WAIT! It’s looking soooooooo good!

Halloween - and I am SOOO Tired!
I am so tired after chasing my toddler up and down the streets of our new neighborhood this evening. Whew! But the weather was perfect - the neighborhood was great - and Devyn finally got to meet some of her new neighbors for Trick or Treating. I might post those pics later . . . (I didn’t ask the parents’ permission yet!).
Anyways . . . here’s a great one for starters - this is my MOTHER. Seriously. She’s a fruitloop. ![]()

This trick-or-treating is SERIOUS business.

She rings doorbells all by herself:

She’s afraid of NOTHING!

She’s already eating candy!

Swinging with grammy and great grammy.

A ghost pinata from Auntie Risa:

Ethan is on a mission to crack that thing open:

Candy fallout!

Jumping again.
Spiderman jumps.
I think Devyn needs her own blog!

More Halloween Fun . . .
These were taken the day before Halloween. Wal-mart had funny teeth on sale for 88 cents - and I couldn’t resist. Isn’t she lovely??? The funny thing is, she loves wearing the dumb things! I think she thrives on the attention she gets when she’s wearing them - she loves to crack everyone up.
